Conditions of purchase

(Chapter 5. Validity period, updated 2024-02-03, possibility to extend your ticket yearly for 300 kr.)

When you order from Upplands Ballongflyg AB, organization number 559149-7572, you agree to all the terms and conditions stated below.

1. purchase

Once we have received your order, we will immediately send an order confirmation to your email. Shortly afterwards, your balloon ticket will also be sent in a separate email as a PDF file.

If you buy a physical gift card, it will be sent out as soon as possible, in an anonymous bubble envelope without a logo. Normal delivery time is usually 1-4 days. The physical gift card is only sent within Sweden.

If there is anything you want to change in your order or something has gone wrong, you must contact us immediately. To shop with us, you must be over 18 years old.

Remember to keep your balloon ticket safe, it is a valuable document.

2. Payment

With Klarna, you can choose to pay directly, by invoice or in installments.
By clicking on "Go to payment" you accept payment responsibility, conditions for the chosen payment method with Klarna and accept Upplands Ballongflyg's terms of purchase.

3. Prices and VAT

Our prices include VAT at 6%, all prices are in SEK.

4. Right of withdrawal

We have a 14-day open purchase period for our balloon tickets. The right of withdrawal does not apply if you have made a flight day booking in our booking system. This applies even if the booked flight is canceled due to bad weather.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to our physical gift cards.

If you want to redeem your ticket, contact us as soon as possible by email with your ticket code and we will help you.

5. Period of validity

Your balloon ticket is valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. A flight must be booked during the seasons that fall within the validity period of the ticket. Our ballooning season runs from May to September.
Unfortunately, the weather can cause problems and we have to cancel the flight for safety reasons. It can happen once or several times. Your ticket becomes rebookable as soon as possible after the cancellation, but no later than 24 hours later.

If we have to cancel a flight, we will extend the validity period by 30 days from the last scheduled flight, if the ticket has less than 30 days of validity left.
The validity of a balloon ticket can be extended for an additional year for €300 per ticket. A ticket can only be extended during its period of validity. An expired ticket will not be renewed.

A balloon ticket is not personal and can be freely transferred and used by another person.

6. force majeure

Should unforeseen events that are beyond Upplands Ballongflyg's control occur (such as war, natural disasters, labor disputes, new or amended legislation, government decisions and other comparable events) and these events mean that we cannot keep our agreement with you as a customer, we are released from this due to the above reasons.

7. Specific conditions

Upplands Ballongflyg sometimes makes special offers regarding experiences in the form of promotional prices or discounts where special conditions apply (e.g. no right of withdrawal). In these cases we will inform you of specific conditions, otherwise these terms and conditions apply. Please note that it is your responsibility as a customer to check the conditions that apply when purchasing such offers.

8. Can everyone fly a hot air balloon?

To fly a balloon with us, you must be at least 12 years old and 140 cm tall. If you are under 18, at least one guardian must accompany you in the basket.

The flight is about an hour long and you should be able to stand up in the basket during this time. The landing can be compared to jumping off a stool, if you are unable to do this due to back problems or disability, we do not recommend flying a hot air balloon. If you are unsure whether you can fly a balloon due to another injury or illness, we recommend that you consult your doctor.

For safety reasons, we do not fly pregnant women. If you become pregnant after buying a ticket, we will extend your ticket so you can enjoy your experience after your pregnancy. Submit a pregnancy certificate given to you by the midwife together with your ticket code and we will take care of it for you.

9. Amendments

Upplands Ballongflyg is entitled to change these terms of purchase without prior notice, either on its own initiative or as required by laws and regulations. Any changes will enter into force as soon as they are made available on this website. You are therefore advised to keep yourself updated, at regular intervals, on the terms and conditions of purchase.
